Artists Comment:
This is the second in a series using the Pollock method of drip painting. The
first on was lighter than this one. As I said before, I started with a abstract
like underpainting. Then like Pollock, I fling and dribble paint, to create
patches of overlapping color and lines. Usually, when all of this has dried,
I study it, and to jot-down all the images that I could see. This time, after
studying the possibilities, I decided to stop and leave it as it is. The painting
was so beautiful that I decided to not to go any further. As the title indicates
this was my feeble attempt to emulate Pollock.

I would never claim to be able to produce artworks comparable to the master Pollock. I often use his method in the preparation of the ground for further painting. However, this time these pictures were so beautiful that I decided not to cover it with an image. I used acrylic Sillthane paint for this series of pictures. It has the consistency to facilitate the drip method and saturation of color that I like. Based on the limited number of Pollock paintings that I have seen, I would say that I use more color and of course mine are on a much smaller scale.
