Artists Comment:
I used to go around Marco Island with my paper and pencil and make sketches
of interesting places. Jacks Lookout is situated at the Marco Marina, just
up the street from where I live. There is much hustle and bustle of charter
fisherman cleaning the days catch, while their passengers look on. Of course,
there are pelicans and sea gulls looking for a morsel to eat. There are boats
coming-in to dock and leaving. There are sight seeing and dinner boats booking
for their next cruise. Jacks is a little bar where you can have a drink and
eat raw oysters. Unfortunately, a hurricane damaged Jacks and it does not
look quite the same as when I did this painting.
