Acrylic (24 X 30)"
Artists Comment:
This painting is about feelings of failure. Sometimes we go through
life never knowing success. Often we are successful and don't recognize it.
When you feel down-and-out listen to what the child thinks.
This painting won a second-place award in the 1995 National Oil and
Acrylic Painters Society (NOAPS) Show.

The painting surface consists of pieces of cloth, wallpaper, ribbons, string and things such as beads, CD's, and floor sweepings. These are covered with many layers of Acrylic paint and worked and re-worked until an image emerges and content asserts itself. This is consistent with my philosophy in which greatness is a manifestation of nothingness.
