Artists Comment:
This painting is another exercise in freeing color. Rather than use
it to color "things", I allow it to do its thing! In this painting
color shapes are used to enhance the feeling of movement of the Shaman. There
is a link on the home page that will take you to a web site about "Animatism".
This is an artistic movement that is promoting the idea that the artist
should assume the spiritual role of the ancient Shaman.

This is a detail of the Shamans right hip area. You can see the interesting star like shapes that were on a box top that became part of the painting surface. Also, notice that the brownish color shape is part of the image and also the background.
